Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS)AQCS Research & Development

Since the early 1960s, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) has been engaged in research and development of AQCS, exploring not only NOX, SO2, and particulate control technologies, but also SO3, mercury, and other pollutant control technologies for various fuel sources to meet the stringent emission standards established around the world. We remain committed to our R&D endeavors in all of our products and technologies and in bringing about continuous improvements for our clients.

Major R&D Items

  1. FGD technologies, including performance improvements, fuel diversification, power & utility minimization, etc.
  2. SCR and catalyst technologies including performance improvements, fuel diversification, low SO2/SO3 oxidation, mercury oxidation, power & utility minimization, etc.
  3. ESP technologies including performance improvements, fuel diversification, moving electrodes, current control, power & utility minimization, etc.
