Integrated coal Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) is the latest coal utilized power generation technology that achieves extremely high thermal efficiency by combining coal gasification with a Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC) system.

IGCC is an environmentally-friendly system which improves the net plant efficiency and reduces the CO2 emission compared to conventional pulverized coal-fired power plants.
